The plot was fine, but the main character was impossible to like. Stupid, stubborn, and self righteous, she decides the mayor was the murderer and it will be covered up if she doesn't make sure justice is served. Willing to break into the mayor's home, the author makes this invasion of privacy sound noble on the idiot's part. It doesn't happen because Grandmother tells her cop boyfriend and he convinces her this is too big a risk. No one bothers to point out it would be wrong. When she stumbled onto the real murderer and almost got killed, I had no sympathy for her at all. Happily, I won't encounter her again.Product details

Anything chocolate and a fun mystery from Cindy Bell, makes for a relaxing and delicious afternoon read! Luscious Pastry at a Lethal Party just fit the bill!
This is a really good book. I was completely caught off guard off guard on who the murder was. I have liked all of Cindy Bells books.
I enjoyed reading this book very much. The author is very talented. She makes the storyline and the characters enjoyable. I would recommend it to anyone.
I find this book a good read, much in line with the previous books in this series However, it would be more fun if it had another spin rather than Ally being the same curious person who ultimately becomes rescued by Luke. I. The spirit of continuing these book series, I may be surprised and see a different turn in events.
With her cop boyfriend away on training, Ally finds herself once more wrapped up in a murder investigation and her chocolate shop closed while the investigation progresses. I found the motivation behind the reason she investigates the murder to be weaker than the other books but the mystery was enjoyable.
